A 25-year-old had to be taken to Cork University Hospital where he is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries

Gardaí have launched an investigation as a second shooting in Cork has been reported in the space of a week.

No injuries were reported in relation to this incident and arrests have not been made yet, but investigations are ongoing. This incident occurred on Saturday morning when emergency services and police attended the scene to find a young man injured.
