The infant, who is only 10 months old, was left to fend for herself in the middle of the night.
That caused a massive operation with Garda cars from all over Dublin and outside the capital ordered to search for the baby girl. And Garda bosses were so worried for the tot’s welfare that they ordered the force’s helicopter to brace storm force winds to help search for her. Sources say Garda experts managed to ping – or locate – the man’s mobile phone to an industrial estate near Mulhuddart in West Dublin.
It is understood the baby was taken to Temple Street Children’s Hospital where she later received a clean bill of health.
