An Garda Síochána are investigating the full circumstances pertaining to the discovery of a body at a Cork farmhouse earlier on Monday.
According to a spokesperson for the Gardaí, the body of a 29-year-old man was discovered at a farm house in Shanavagoon, Ladysbridge, County Cork at 7am on 9 September. The man was found dead, and he had sustained a number of injuries. He was removed to Cork University Hospital where a post mortem is due to take place. The scene is currently preserved.
Another man in his late 20s has been arrested in connection with the discovery. He is is currently being detained at Cobh Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
