Two Gardaí remain in hospital

Carl KinsellaA spokesperson for An Garda Síochána has confirmed that two Gardaí spent the night in hospital due to injuries sustained during a"managed pursuit."

A statement from the Gardaí says that when approached by a Garda car, a vehicle took off at speed in the direction of the Ballykeefe Roundabout. Gardaí from the Henry Street District and the Armed Support Unit pursued the vehicle and at Clonmacken Roundabout the car"rammed a Garda vehicle."
