Former Rose, RTE star and radio presenter - meet the Rose of Tralee judges

The Rose of Tralee International Festival is well underway and this week the televised event airs over two consecutive nights on RTÉ One.

This week we meet the 32 International Roses, from Ireland and abroad, who all hope to win the coveted title. Daithi O'Se will also be back on our screens following a summer break from TV as he returns for his twelfth series as host.He will also be joined by a co-host, Kathryn Thomas, for the first time in the show's history.

The winner of this year's Rose of Tralee lies in the hands of the three judges as they will make a unanimous decision after each rose has appeared on stage. This year's judging panel is made up of a former rose, an RTÉ star and radio presenter - here is everything you need to know.Nicola lives in Kinsale, Co. Cork with her husband Eamonn and two wonderful children, Oscar and Isla . A Master’s graduate of UCC, she taught for seven years in the European School of Luxembourg. Nicola now teaches history and geography at Cork Educate Together Secondary School.
