Objects were hurled towards Gardai during intense protests in Dublin yesterday after the death of George Nkencho this week.
Bystander video footage shows the large group protesting the death of Nkencho, 27, who was shot during a standoff with Gardai in Manorfields Drive, Clonee, on Wednesday. Gardai were then filmed leaving the area before items were thrown towards the moving vehicles by some members of the protest group. Gardai responded to reports of a man wielding a knife at a Spar in Hartstown where a shop worker is believed to have suffered a broken nose.
