Thousands of people have taken to the streets of Ireland's towns and cities as late-night venues finally reopened across the country.
The return of normal trading hours and 100% capacity in nightclubs marks a significant step towards the return of pre-pandemic life. However, Covid Certs proving vaccination or recovery remain mandatory, as does the need to collect data for contact tracing. And it seems revellers returned in their hundreds well before the club officially opened its doors at 9pm.
I forgot how much I missed coppers, people drinking and dancing without a care in the world. Music was pumping so loud I hardly got any funny looks when I coughed. Great night overall but feeling it this morning. Stay safe and God bless.
