Flooding likely as Status Yellow rain warning issued

Met Éireann says flooding is possible in some areas with rainfall of between 30mm to 60mm expected overnight through to Friday morning.

The warning for Connacht, Donegal, Clare, Cork, Kerry and Limerick comes into effect at midnight and remains in place until 6am on Friday. Met Éireann has also urged motorists to drive with care today with hail showers forecast, particularly in the west of the country along with a risk of isolated thunderstorms.Collisions due to hail have already been reported today.https://t.co/G4AxHXFqX7Around 100 buildings and dozens of parked cars were damaged in Cork city centre, which was hit by floods following the high tide on 20 October.
