It is understood that this was a false alarm and announcements were quickly made that the airport is not being evacuated and is operating as normal.

Passengers at Dublin Airport were left confused this afternoon after reporting fire alarms going off at Terminal 2.One person claimed they were asked to "evacuate" while others alleged there was "no staff that know what to do".A passenger wrote on Twitter: "Dublin Airport Terminal 2 being evacuated. No staff, no direction... people just walking towards the departure gates.

In December 2022, a part of Dublin Airport's Terminal 1 was evacuated as the airport's own fire service arrived to deal with "the activation of a fire alarm". "Dublin Airport’s own fire service attended immediately and quickly brought the situation under control.
