Met Eireann issued two weather warnings today which are set to continue until tomorrow afternoon.
Forecasters have issued a Status Yellow wind warning for the rest of the country with gusts of up to 100kmh forecast until 12pm noon on Wednesday.And the bad weather is set to continue into St Patrick’s weekend which is set to be cold and showery with a chance of sleet or snow in some places. The national forecaster has said: “Wednesday night will be windy with strong and gusty west to southwest winds with gales along coasts.
Met Eireann continued: “At the moment Sunday St Patrick’s day is expected to be a bright and cold day with sunny spells and scattered showers, some of the showers wintry in the north and northwest.”
