The farmers want recognition for the 'carbon capture' they carry out by maintaining pastures, hedgerows and other environmental services

In line with public health guidelines the group will be fewer than a 100 and they will have a garda escort as they march from the Convention Centre to Government Buildings.

They are also expected to assemble outside the Department of Agriculture to reinforce their objections. The farmers want recognition for the 'carbon capture' they carry out by maintaining pastures, hedgerows and other environmental services.

Ireland is responsible for 60 million tonnes of CO2....of the global annual 38 billion tonnes....If we factored in carbon capture of the millions of trees....grassland...hedges..plankton off our coasts..50% removed by oceans.....Then we would have a minus value for CO2 emissions
