The dad of an Irish teenager who died by suicide earlier this year has opened up on the horrific bullying he suffered.Eden confided in a local priest that he had endured "suffering" for years that had "left scars deep" in the run up to his tragic death. His father Raymond, mother Maggie and older sister Chloe invited Joe Finnigan from Shannonside Radio to talk about his life.
"There were a number of incidents where they would just kick him, always three or four of them. Kicking every week, while standing and on the ground. "They would put his head into a toilet. He said to me 'on a regular occurrence, a group will get me and stick my head into a dirty, sh*tty toilet and always laugh'. They'd throw food at him, full apples, chucked full salad trays at him.
"But he had accepted because it was happening every day of his life. He couldn't escape it. It was constant. He would have to duck down when we were in the car if we came across that group. He was thinking about it all the time."Raymond said: "There's no place for anyone to go for bullying, because there's no law or prosecutions. Gardaí can't prosecute anyone for it because there's no law.
