A family of four, including two children, were rescued by Lough Derg RNLI after their boat ran aground. After receiving a call from Valentia Coast Guard, the Jean Spier lifeboat was launched at 5.53pm to assist the 32 foot cruiser.The wind was north-easterly, force three with good visibility.
Four people were onboard, two adults, a child and infant, all of whom were wearing lifejackets and were uninjured.
