George McMahon, who plays Mondo O'Connell on the soap opera, opened up about Carol Anne's untimely death and the loss of a Carrigstown power couple.“We are all so saddened by it. Carol Anne was a cast mate of ours before anything, to lose a colleague is really sad. But we are all thinking of Mick, because Mick and Carol Anne were like two peas in a pod.George and Carol Anne remained in contact after she left Fair City and he praised her constant positivity.

“I would have been in contact with her over the years and she would be like a bring shining light in any room.”She is survived by beloved husband Mick Nolan, brothers Henry and David, sister Jeanette and extended family and friends.
