Government expected to survive vote on Sinn Féin motion of no confidenceDespite loss of majority, sufficient backing deemed to exist to leave Coalition in power Terrified of being kicked off the Gravy Train. They would back Hitler to stay on it Yes a vote of no confidence from your opposition isn't going to make a whole lot of difference despite how correct they may be. The no confidence vote would have to come from Ff or Fg to have any real weight The timing is just all wrong for this. There's a recess and a new budget on the way. Voting against the government now would be disastrous. Sinn Féin had to call for a vote. They're the opposition, it's their job. They're behaving like a parliamentary party. That's a good sign.
