Former cold case detective calls for high-profile cases of missing women to be upgraded to murder

A former cold case detective has called for high-profile cases of missing women – including the disappearance of Annie McCarrick – to be upgraded to murder.The former top detective, who was a key member of the Garda’s specialist task force Operation Trace, said some of these missing cases must now beThese include Annie McCarrick, 26, Fiona Pender, 25, Fiona Sinnott, 19, 17-year-old Ciara Breen and possibly several others.

“We found they had no reason to leave, so it was a sinister development they left home and they should be treated as such by Garda authorities and accepted these girls didn’t leave by their own volition. Somebody took them and somebody killed them.this jurisdiction, Northern Ireland or England of these girls ever surfacing. And in America the same applies to Annie McCarrick. They are gone and not voluntarily.

It is believed she was seen outside Johnny Fox’s pub in Glencullen, Co Wicklow. No trace of her has ever been found but the last confirmed sighting was at a post office in Enniskerry in the county. He said: “Take the case of Annie McCarrick. The following week her mother was going to come over to visit her so why would she up and run?

a murder probe. The area around mid-Leinster where many of the disappearances took place was referred to as Ireland’s “Vanishing Triangle” and suspicion fell on convicted rapist Larry Murphy as the man responsible for the disappearances of Ms McCarrick, Ms Dullard and Ms Jacob.
