Everything Klopp has said about his Liverpool future from sabbatical to retiring

Jurgen Klopp has been Liverpool boss for the past five years, and has penned three contracts with the club in this time.

The German told Kicker magazine "It looks like it [I will be taking a sabbatical]. Who can now say if he can give it his all in three years' time? Klopp's agent Marc Kosicke also did some talking on behalf of Klopp at this time, again suggesting he would return to Germany in 2022. "Ulla [Klopp's wife] and Jurgen get up in the morning and it's dark. When they meet again in the evening, it is also dark or it is grey and there is drizzle.

"He is not too bad to surround himself with people who can do certain things better than him - and then let them do it. "It is German humour but obviously nobody got it... I am completely fine with the weather. Let me spell it out, the weather has never been a reason for me to choose a city and it's certainly not a reason for me to leave the country.
