Eurovision Song Contest News

Ireland Latest News,Ireland Headlines

Ireland's Bambie Thug is among the favourites to win the Eurovision Song Contest tonight. With hundred of millions of people set to tune in to one of the world’s most-watched TV events, here’s everything you need to know about how to watch it in Ireland.

Excitement is building for the Eurovision 2024 final and bosses have finally revealed the all-important running order.

Some 26 finalists will battle it out to win the prestigious song contest, which will be watched by millions across the world. Croatia are the favourites as the countdown begins, but they face stiff competition from the likes of Switzerland, Ukraine and Ireland who are all predicted to do well. Ryan O’Shaughnessy reached the competition for Ireland with Together in Lisbon, Portugal, four years ago, where he came 16th. Bambie has a chance to take Ireland to the win, which the country has not achieved since 1996 with Eimear Quinn’s The Voice.

Audience members, including Jedward, left in protest of the performance but there is a growing belief in some quarters that Israel could gain enough support from alliesto win, with a significant gamble seeing their odds slashed from 33/1 into 3/1.
