The European Parliament said that the Covid certificate system should not be in place for longer than a year, and that they should be called something simpler than 'Digital Green Certificate'.

Image: Shutterstock/PHOTOCREO Michal Bednarek Image: Shutterstock/PHOTOCREO Michal Bednarek THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT has approved its priorities for introducing Covid-19 passports for the EU, also known as Digital Green Certificates, in time for the summer.

As part of the vote, the European Parliament aims as part of its priorities to scrap the name ‘Digital Green Certificates’, and instead call them the ‘EU Covid-19 certificate’.MEPs also stress that, in order to avoid discrimination against those not vaccinated and for economic reasons, EU countries should “ensure universal, accessible, timely and free of charge testing”.

Europe is proceeding fast on making free and safe travel this summer possible. The @Europarl_EN adopted its position on #DigitalGreenCertificate already 👇, now it is up to the discussion with Member States. I hope we will wrap this up quickly.

What about the people who don't take a vax? I have a neurological degenerative illness which is stable. There is no evidence that a vax will not exacerbate the illness in the long term. For safety, I take prophylactics including Ivermectin. Why should I be treated as a threat?

What about the EU citizens already vaccinated with Sputnik and Sinovac.

How much will these passports cost? Seems like a Covid cash grab. Also, will lead to Covidvariant imports…

🤣🤦

The pass system will not be in place for longer than 12 months, I think I heard that one before it's like saying elephants will fly.

Just like it was 'only 2 weeks to flatten the curve'. What a load of hooey!
