Today's Eurogroup meeting will examine the resilience of the euro area economy compared to other large economies.

Mr Donohoe will also attend an ECOFIN meeting tomorrow, the first of the French Presidency of the Council.

The euro area economy is recovering at a faster pace than previous crises, with 5% GDP growth estimated for 2021. The Eurogroup meeting will establish key policy priorities for economic policy action to support the recovery. Today's meeting will welcome a number of new Ministers for Finance, representing Austria, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Germany, Luxembourg, Sweden, Romania, and the Netherlands.
