Enniskerry locals rally behind lorry owner after nine players on GAA team suffer injuries while celebrating

Locals are rallying behind the owner of the lorry from which nine GAA players plunged as they celebrated a championship win last weekend.

The truck is parked on an incline when the vehicle appears to suddenly lurch forward, sending screaming players tumbling to the ground. Mr Manning’s plant hire firm at Coolbeg - which also sponsors Rathnew GAA Club - won the Plant Hire Company of the Year Awards at the Machinery Movers Industry and Operator Awards last year.
