Storm Jorge, named by the Spanish Meteorological Service, is the third "named" storm to hit Ireland during February, a month usually associated with one of the least amounts of rainfall. The forecaster says that Storm Jorge will bring even more very heavy rain, as well as gusts of up to 130km/h. Following updates from Met Éireann, the OPW, local authorities and other critical agencies, they have decided to convene a full meeting of the NECG, which will start at 11am this morning.
