Elderly man hospitalised after being struck by car in Irish town

An elderly man has been taken to hospital after he was knocked down in Cork early on Thursday morning.The incident happened near the Health Centre, Cork Beo reports.

Gardai and an ambulance were called to the scene and the man was removed to Cork University Hospital where his injuries are described as minor.
