EastEnders fans are convinced Phil Mitchell was on the phone to his brother Grant in the latest episode of the BBC soap

EastEnders could be about to air an explosive return on the BBC soap, during the big 35th anniversary episodes this coming week - according to fans.

Phil Mitchell is back from Portugal, and seems intent on taking down Keanu Taylor as their feud erupts once more. He was recently wanted for the "murder" of his son-in-law Keanu, after the Mitchells discovered his affair with Phil's wife Sharon. On Christmas Day he was killed by Martin Fowler, ordered to carry out the crime by Phil's son Ben, only for Martin to fake the death and let him flee.

Keanu made his shock return to Walford last week, with Ben finally finding out he was alive the entire time.Phil and Keanu are two characters on the boat at the time, with them tipped for a final showdown.As Phil returned to the show on Friday, he was seen speaking on the phone to a mystery person.Ahead of explosive scenes on the show, viewers are now speculating whether it could have been Grant.
