Casement Park was included in the five-association bid, along with the Aviva Stadium in Dublin and venues in England, Scotland and Wales.

A report on Friday night in The Times newspaper in England has claimed that UEFA expects Northern Ireland to drop out of hosting games at Euro 2028 .

That would mean an extra game would go to the Aviva Stadium, which is already pencilled in to stage six ties, as well as other stadiums across the water, such as Cardiff, Wembley and Hampden Park.
