The management of the Bernard Shaw pub on Dublin's Richmond Street have announced it will close "for good" at the end of October.

In a statement posted on the pub's website, management said they had "tried really hard over the last few months to renew the lease".Earlier this year An Bord Pleanála refused planning permission for the pub's beer garden to continue operating.The pub's management thanked their customers who "came, and left, and came back again" over the 13 years it was in operation.
