Tallaght community feels cut off after Dublin Bus decision to curtail service

“People are throwing sticks at the bus, causing trouble trying to get on the bus. It’s for the safety of the bus drivers as well as the passengers.”

Route 27, to and from Jobstown, will now terminate at Fortunestown Road, no longer serving Cheeverstown Road, Brookfield Road and Russell Square in the evenings. The letter states that levels of “thuggery, violence and vandalism” is “once again reaching epidemic proportions”. Mother of five Nadine Comerford said she brings one of her daughters to football in Killinarden twice a week, which takes place from 5pm until 6pm.

“It’s very isolating for the community. They essentially have a curfew for access to public transport,” she said.

It’s an absolute joke! Is Dublin Bus providing a service or not? dublinbusnews EamonRyan Im not even from Tallaght or north side and I think this is a joke!

Correct decision by Dublin Bus. Maybe the numptees, currently protesting against the poor innocents fleeing their countries of origin, might go to Tallaght and vent their anger at the scumbags behind this problem!

It’s not the fault of Dublin bus. Blame the Govt for not having enough Guards and prison space, and the judges for their ridiculously soft sentencing when it comes to scrotes

Long prison sentences for anti social behaviour, thievery and unprovoked violence. 15 year minimums. The only way to deter the next generation is seeing the older scumbags in their community spend their entire twenties in prison.

Very tough on the decent people in Tallaght. But you can’t fault Dublin Bus. Unfortunately there are no consequences, no deterrents, no judicial support.

This is what happens when there is no lawful deterrent. The Gardaí are wasting their time bringing culprits to Court ⚖️. We all see what an absolute bad joke our judicial system is. Heavy monetary fines, be one waged or on welfare, is the best way to deal with.

Of course you won’t see any government officials get behind this because it only effects real people trying to get on with their real lives. The police commissioner won’t comment on this because the government will not instruct him to do it. This country is broken.

Sort out ur scum then

Pitty for you the poor bus man’s family would feel a lot worse is your little scum hurt them control your kids our is it outsiders our the government’s fault you did not rate your kids to respect others

Ok well it's time for the community to step up. Assist the Gardaí in identifying and charging those responsible. Have some idea where your children are and what they're doing.
