The robots have been brought into Terminal One to help passengers who may have additional needs

Dublin Airport has announced the introduction of robot handlers at Terminal One to assist passengers by helping to move their baggage to the gate.

Once the passengers have headed through security, all they need to do is head to the robot call point located close by, where a robot will arrive, ready for their bags to be placed inside. Then the passenger simply needs to input their gate number on the screen and the robot will guide you along the way with your bags.

The robots have a name display sticker on them and have been aptly named by the team at the airport, with four of the new machines hilariously dubbed Handler Bing, Bilbot Baggins, K2DC and Sir Bot A Lot. He added: “You clear through security, you go to the robot call point, the robot will arrive, you place your bags into the robot, select your gate on the screen, and the robot will bring your bags down to the gate and guide you along the way.”
