The drugs were found during the search of a vehicle in Carlow

Gardaí attached to the Carlow Detective Unit searched a vehicle travelling on the M9 motorway, as part of ongoing investigations into the sale and supply of drugs in the Carlow area.

During the course of the search, cannabis worth over €460,000 was recovered. The drugs will now be sent to Forensic Science Ireland for analysis. A man in his 30s was arrested in connection with the seizure and is being questioned at Carlow Garda Station.
