A dedicated team in AGS has reviewed the final report of the Commission of Investigation into Mother and Baby Homes but “there is insufficient detail in the report to commence criminal investigation at this moment”, a statement released today noted. “As such, An Garda Síochána is appealing to anyone with information about crimes at Mother and Baby Homes to make contact with them so that such crimes can be investigated where possible.”

However, he acknowledged that – due the passing of time and fact some of the people in question have since died – it may be difficult to prosecute people in relation to the crimes. Garda Commissioner Drew Harris tells Policing Authority meeting that final report of Commission into #MotherAndBabyHomes is "harrowing and disturbing", noting that girls as young as 12 were raped and ended up in the institutions.— Órla Ryan April 29, 2021

Probably more to do with statute of limitations? Or unavailability of witnesses due to decease? Or credibility thereof due to degrees of association, ie objectivity vs subjectivity.

Force the Catholic Church to pay compensation and hand over all assets to the people of Ireland, then deem it an illegal organisation and instruct them all to get the fuck out of our country. If an enabler of rape, incest and murder lived in my house that’s what I would do.

Yet they can DNA your dog shit trace it back to ya and fine ya 🤔I smell bullshit 🤬

Well Mr.Harris you will never know until you try..

Who decided this ... Government knew what was going on and turned a blind eye ...

Finally this aspect is being looked at. If I found remains of a child in my back garden buried in a septic tank, wonder how many years they would wait to investigate 🤔
