Dr Eva Orsmond opens up about the 'difficult' breakdown of her 27 year marriage

Dr Eva Orsmond has opened up about the breakdown of her 27 year marriage to Wyatt Orsmond for the first time.

Things are amicable between the pair and they will remain friends and business partners at the health hotel in Portugal, but Dr Eva admits that it was a difficult decision to call time on their long marriage.Speaking in this week's RTE Guide, the star shared: "We were married for 27 years, but people change and they want different things."

It's been very difficult, but if we aren't brave and make these moves when we feel that it's the right move, we don't give ourselves the possibility for happiness in the future," she said. "I suppose I found the strength in myself, and we have this saying in Finnish, 'who starts a game needs to finish the game.' I believe in finding your inner strength and resilience in big challenges." she told The RTE Guide.
