Sharing the warning on Instagram, the comedian explained how she and Bert went for a walk in their usual spot, when a large alsatian started towards them.
Saying: “Just went for a walk in my usual spot with Bert – a guy was walking his Alsatian off the lead with no muzzle – he went for Bertie, I roared so loud that the dog backed off but he was fully about to maul him.”Ailbhe’s dog BobbySaying: “This is how Ailbhe’s dog Bobby died, please please PLEASE – if you know anyone who is that irresponsible with breeds like Alsatians, ask them to get a grip. It is their fault, not the dog’s fault.
Ailbhe lost Bobby in 2020, sharing the news on Instagram she wrote: “Bob gave us an unforgettable three years of love, laughter and cuddles.”Similarly, Doireann, who lived with Ailbhe and little Bob for a number of years, shared her devastation on social media. “I loved Bobby from the minute I laid eyes on him. My bestest pal for the past 3 years,” she said alongside a picture of the pooch.
“He brought me more fun and joy than I could have ever imagined. You’ll have a big piece of my heart forever Bob.”
