Novak Djokovic is back in detention at the Park Hotel ahead of Sunday's appeal against the cancellation of his visa at the Federal Court of Australia. | More:

After meeting with his lawyers for several hours earlier on Saturday, Djokovic was driven to the same immigration hotel where he spent four nights last week for what he will hope will be the final night.

A timetable was agreed on Friday, with Djokovic to be detained on Saturday morning for a meeting with immigration officials before meeting with his lawyers, also under detention. Hawke stated his belief that not cancelling the visa could encourage Australians not to take the vaccine, increasing pressure on the health service.

Australians have gone through some of the harshest lock downs on the planet, yet he thinks he can just Swan in unvacinated. They made the right decision.

This fuck up is still absolutely glorious.

The my body my choice crowd are awfully quiet recently.

2 dose vaccine offers little or no protection ,booster apparently brings one up to 55 % or so ,hard to keep track chances so much , so it’s helpful some of the time, well sir take this flight you have 55% of not dying,as for preventing death as some say..well

I'm a bad person but I am enjoying this saga an unhealthy amount.

Good enough for him.

I thought the vaccine would protect others. Clearly not if they are trying to kick him out of the country

Australia has zero covid strategy....They have to kick him out...Also he is not vaccinated...Danger to the health of Australia...
