Derry Girls book 'Erin's Diary' on the way as fans await third season

Whilst filming for the next season is on hold, the novel, titled ‘Erin’s Diary’ by show mastermind Lisa McGee will be published in November.

Speaking to Stylist about the book, Derry native McGee said: “I’m thrilled to be able to share our first ever official Derry Girls Book with the world.“The book will reveal some new information about old events as well as some brand new antics from Erin and the gang – hopefully it will keep fans laughing until series three hits the screen.”

Fans of the show will know that Erin is an avid writer in her diary, and the novel, written from her viewpoint, is set to explore her own ‘troubles’. “Not to mention the fact that her second best friend has ALMOST had sex, whereas Erin’s never even kissed anyone yet.
