Dermot Bannon was always interested in “making and building stuff” as a child, so it’s no surprise that he pursued a career in architecture.
Dermot told RSVP Magazine: "I had never been on a plane before. We used to drive to my granny’s house in Wexford and back again, that was it. "I was thrown into this new culture, literally overnight. I came out of Cairo Airport and all of this was happening. "I watch people and how they interact with buildings and where they sit. I watch to see where people gather and I love the space in between buildings."The RTÉ star said: "It was probably the most normal house type anyone has ever grown up in.
