The daughter of legendary jockey Pat Smullen and Frances Crowley partnered 6/1 shot Fillusin to victory for trainer Gordon Elliott in the final race on the card, the Kilbarry Flat Race.
Smullen expertly steered the five-year-old to victory as the mare got up to beat 2/5 favourite Si Se Puede, who is a full-sister to top chaser El Fabiolo, with the jockey's mother in attendance at Tramore to make the win all the more special.READ MORE: Jockey compares himself to Del Boy Trotter after ‘bluffing’ his way to Oaks success
Asked what the win meant to her, Hannah told Racing TV: "Everything. It's absolutely amazing. I've been dreaming of doing this since I was a kid and just the support mam has given me has been absolutely unreal and Gordon as well, he's been amazing to me so just thanks so much to the two of them because none of this would happen without them."
The jockey, who is studying law in Trinity and was having just her seventh ride under rules, added: "I ride out on weekends and school holidays and if I have the odd day off college I tip in as well. It's a brilliant atmosphere in there. I love riding out in there so a massive thanks to him."
