The film was made by Shaun Doogan and Ciaran McCann, the same team behind his viral ‘Down At The Lah De Dah’ video.
Praising their hard work, Daniel said: “The guys are great, the fellas that put the video together, it is all them. And they just told me you have to be here and there and break down the door and come in and get the poker and hop over the sofa and pretend that you are doing all that business so I just did what they told me.”
The film also stars his wife Majella. Along with plenty others from his local community in the cast and crew. As he explained: “Ah she enjoyed that. She loves the young fellas that have the company. See it was their idea, they came to me before Covid with this idea…and they put together the concept, and Karen Sharkey, another girl at home, she did the artwork, all the paintings of the sets, and it’s just amazing what they did.”“And it was their initiative to see if I would do something with them, I suppose to give them a bit of notoriety and I hope it does. And I hope this gives them even more.
He provided the music for the sound track, releasing a cover of Elvis Presley’s Burning Love, for Night of the Daniels.
