Members of the Opposition had demanded that the ministers take questions in a back and forth exchange

The Dáil has approved a proposal from the Ceann Comhairle to allow Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform Paschal Donohoe to answer questions from the Opposition at the end of his statement today in a single wrap, with no back-and-forth exchanges.

He has maintained that services provided by six people to his campaign did not meet the threshold required to be declared as a donation. "A back-and-forth" would be"far better", and was the format taken by Leo Varadkar when he answered questions before the House previously, she said. The minister has recused himself from making any decisions on SIPO, but of course can answer questions, he said.

Ms Bacik described recent revelations that a private company paid for Minister Donohoe's posters to be erected and taken down during the 2016 election campaign as"deeply concerning".
