One of the most iconic Eurovision Song Contests was 1994’s edition in Dublin, hosted by Cynthia Ní Mhurchú and Gerry Ryan, with the introduction of the famous Riverdance

Cynthia Ní Mhurchú shared that Gerry Ryan was “larger than life” as she reflected on co-hosting the 1994 Eurovision Song Contest with him.

I still meet people on a weekly or daily basis and they’ll ask if I’m Cynthia from Eurovision. She continued: “I worked with a great production team. Moya Doherty, Pat Cowap and all of them. They were fantastic experts to work with in broadcasting.

Cynthia has pivoted towards politics after nearly 30 years of experience in the legal profession. She opened up about why she decided to change careers. She added: "Based on all the experience I had in the courts over 27 years, I really wanted to solve problems, improve people’s lives and build a better future for people on a larger platform.
