The figures quoted here seem in the face of it to suggest that the previous figures for % of population vaccinated were mistaken. In absence of recent census, how are you calculating either set of figures and what is the margin of error involved?

And how many fit healthy,no underlying illnesses of those age groups mentioned have ended up in hospital?

also should be noted that those who were vaccinated on their study abroad years are not counted in the irish figures!!

If I was them, I would be worried as when a shot is available for U12's I reckon you will get very low take up. Most parents I know are extremely reluctant and you can see that already with the over 12's. Will be hard to get 1% increments from here on in unless something changes
