The Department for Health and Social care said the number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in the UK was at 2,626 - a rise of 676 in the last 24 hours

The coronavirus death toll in the UK has reached 104 after NHS England said a further 32 people had died in England after testing positive.

However yesterday health officials stressed that the real figure of cases is likely to be around the 55,000 mark. Mr Corbyn also questioned Mr Johnson on the amount of personal protective equipment issued to NHS staff for when they are treating patients with Covid-19. There have been reports of regional problems with supply of equipment, with some staff saying there are not enough face masks to go round.He said: "The World Health Organisation said test, test, test and we should be testing, I believe, on an industrial scale."
