The Derry footballer explained that he left Northern Ireland as a boy, but came home as a man with life experiences he never would have had without the move Down Under

The Derry footballer made the move Down Under back in 2016 after finishing his A-level exams.

He told RSVP Live: “Sydney is ridiculous at the minute. It’s like walking the street at home or around Belfast, the amount of Irish people there. “The things I learned from going there. I went out there a boy and came home a man. I went over right after my A-level exams and so I had to grow up quickly.

“I had no regrets coming home, but I know other people that did had regrets and wished they had stayed longer. There’s people that were homesick, but they weren’t missing out much.
