Comedians Jon Richardson and Lucy Beaumont Announce Divorce

The couple have been married for nine years but issued a shock statement declaring their split. They said: "After 9 years of marriage, we would like to announce that we have separated. We have jointly and amicably made the difficult decision to divorce and go our separate ways."

"It’s a great working environment because it feels like a big group of friends", the stand-up comedian said, although she highlighted one downside to working with her other half. "It’s a shame that you can’t see the crew off camera because most of them have worked on the show from the beginning. It’s like a holiday for them."

Opening up about how he tried to "repel her" during an appearance on The Jonathon Ross Show, Jon said: "Roisin Conaty set us up and for months, I said, 'if you like this girl don't get us involved because I'll ruin her f**king life'." Explaining why he didn't agree to the set-up at first, he added: "I was very depressed and I thought, why drag someone else down with me.
