Christina Applegate makes first public appearance since MS diagnosis | Her.ie

"This day means more to me than you can possibly imagine," she said.

After stating that she can't stand for very long, she thanked a number of people, including her friends and family.She wrote:"A few months ago I was diagnosed with MS. It’s been a strange journey. But I have been so supported by people that I know who also have this condition.Advertisement She added:"As one of my friends that has MS said 'we wake up and take the indicated action'. And that’s what I do. So now I ask for privacy. As I go through this thing. Thank you xo."A year later, Christina spoke to the New York Times about how she is dealing with the condition. She explained that the crew behind Dead To Me didn't put any pressure on her to film shooting, but she was determined to do so anyway.

She said:"I had an obligation. The powers that be were like, 'Let’s just stop. We don’t need to finish it.'"One of the options presented to her was for production to put together some episodes with previously recorded footage.
