This comes after 'suspected human remains' were found in Ballymena on June 11

Police in Northern Ireland have confirmed the human remains found in Ballymena earlier this month were those of Chloe Mitchell.

And in an update on the Chloe Mitchell murder investigation on Monday afternoon, the PSNI said the identification process has now concluded, Belfast Live reports. Detective Chief Inspector Richard Millar said: “The identification process on human remains found in Ballymena on Sunday 11th June has now concluded and have been confirmed as those of Chloe Mitchell.”A huge search operation was launched, with Community Rescue Service volunteers scouring steep banks around the River Braid.Detectives investigating her disappearance have launched a murder inquiry and two men have been charged in connection with the 21-year-old's death.
