The collision, which involved a vehicle and a pedestrian, occurred on Upper Main Street, Donegal Town, at around 2.00pm. Gardai and other emergency services attended the scene.
The child, whose injuries are not believed to be life threatening, was taken to University Hospital Letterkenny. No arrests have been made.Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward. Any road users who may have camera footage and were travelling on Upper Main Street, Donegal town between 1.45pm and 2.15pm and are asked to make this footage available to Gardaí.
