The national independent advocate for reducing alcohol harm in Ireland has said it is"deeply disappointed" by the domestic, sexual and gender-based violence strategy launched by the Government this week.

Alcohol Action Ireland has said the failure to recognise the"complexity and overlapping issues" was perhaps due to them not fitting"neatly into boxes or departmental remits". Assistant Professor in Addictions at the School of Medicine, Trinity College Dublin Professor Jo-Hanna Ivers, expressed disappointment at the lack of visibility for certain cohorts of women.

Alcohol is a huge problem in Ireland. The victim mentality of the Irish partly contributes to this. It can ruin generations of families.

I think this NGO's concerns might be relieved by an increase in their government funding.

'Sanitizing people's lives' 🤔🤔🤔🤔

This is classic logic of the type of authoritarian psycho that works in these NGOs... They want to be able to label anyone who uses alcohol as a potential wife beater.. absolute maniacs this lots

They have thrown their weight behind legalizing cannabis as an alternative then? Since Romans first landed it has been common practice to use alcohol & prostitution to demoralize Serious problems need serious solutions🧐 CannabisReformIreland UnitedIreland MMJ LegalizeIt
