The businessman previously told the Business Post that he has assets in a family trust that was valued at ‘an eight-figure sum’

Illann Power, the embattled Irish entrepreneur, has not succeeded in purging a contempt of court order in the US, which has arisen out of his voluntary bankruptcy petition in the state of Florida.

In June, Power was found in contempt by a Florida bankruptcy court for failing to comply with a discovery order and was given 21 days to file the necessary documents and pay $5,000 in legal fees, which would have purged the contempt.
