The six Regional Health Areas are designed to align hospital and community healthcare services, with a defined population and their individual local needs.
Stephen Donnelly will seek Cabinet approval for the implementation of these RHAs - saying they are a key enabler of the reform of Ireland's healthcare system. The aim is to deliver a community-first model by devolving responsibility for decision making to the regions, with RHAs being introduced on a phased basis in 2023 and become fully operational the following year.
Separately, Minister for Culture Catherine Martin is to seek backing for a multi-million euro pilot programme in which artists are paid a basic income. If signed-off, as expected, this recommendation from the Government's Arts and Culture Recovery Taskforce could be open for applications in a matter of months.

DonnellyStephen Is this a joke?
DonnellyStephen Filled with party cronies like the old health boards will someone please just fix the health service & stop moving things sideways all the time 😡😡
DonnellyStephen Absolute disgrace that frontline workers are not getting their bonus as promised. As usual they are bottom of the pile, 'ah, they'll wait, sure aren't they getting paid enough'. The ones who put themselves at risk get a few claps. How insulting.
so after all these years we're going back to the old health boards
DonnellyStephen So back to the old formula? Western health board, Eastern health board, Southern health board I presume. Doing the same thing over and over expecting different results is insanity.
DonnellyStephen
DonnellyStephen Oh, haven’t seen this lad for a bit, still spoofing away goodo
