A total of 54 businesses in Ireland have signed up to the low carbon pledge

, up from 43 last year.

Last year, the inaugural report showed that major progress was made in meeting targets set for 2030, with average Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions intensity cut by 36%. BITCI CEO Tomas Sercovich said reducing emissions from business travel was a new challenge, particularly as many companies are major travel consumers.
